Kenneth Charles Lecik, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on May 20, 2018. He was 82 years of age.
Ken was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 5, 1936, son of the late John and Charlotte (Miner) Lecik. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Mardel Marie Mack on September 18, 1954 at St. Edward Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple was blessed with five beautiful children of whom they loved and cherished. After his time in the service, Ken started working for Uniroyal making tires for over 20 years. Ken then moved to Midnight foreman for Metropolitan Bakery of Detroit for 10 years, retiring in 2001. He always looked forward to the summer months of golfing, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed bowling during the winter months. Ken was a jovial man who was full of sarcasm and a whole lot of love. He never met a stranger and will always be known for his funny faces and his smile and laughter that would fill the room. Ken will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
