Obituary for Betty Weidenbach (Schaening)
Betty Marion Weidenbach, resident of Eastpointe former longtime resident of Warren, died peacefully January 14, 2018. She was 94 years of age.
Betty was born on March 23, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late George and Lottie (Stanow) Schaening. She was united in marriage to her beloved George Weidenbach on August 19, 1944. The couple made their home in Warren in 1946 and was blessed with two beautiful children of whom they loved and cherished. Betty dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother and devoted wife. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Betty enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was a soap TV fan. Above all, she loved the Lord and enjoyed being involved in her church, St. Peter Lutheran Church of Eastpointe. She will be deeply missed and Betty's light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Betty is the devoted wife of the late George; dearest mother of Barbara (Tim) Bleser and Mark (Sandra) Weidenbach; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Anne), Greg (Sherry), Tammy (Dennis), Beckie (Tod), Jessica (Brian), Kevin (Amber), Christopher (Tiffany) and Craig; beloved great grandmother of Heather, Andrew, Olivia, Jenna, Tyler, Emily, Breanna, Addison, Ruby, Logan, Adam, Nevah and Jayden; great great grandmother of Julianna and Alexis; and sister of the late Eugene (Pearl), the late Gordon (Della), the lateDoris (Robert) and survived by brother, Don.
