Obituary for Teresa Oldani (Zuckero)
Teresa Jean Oldani, longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, died peacefully October 18, 2016. She was 86 years of age.
Teresa was born on June 1, 1930 in Supino, Italy, one of seven delightful children of the late Adruino and Oliva (Ferrante) Zuckero. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Anthony Louis Oldani, on November 27, 1954 at Nativity Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple made their home in St. Clair Shores in 1954 and was blessed with three beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. A mother raising her children, Teresa constantly gave of her best and was always there to make sure they had everything they needed. And then her grandchildren came and they became the center of her world- she was the epitome of a loving, giving and doting grandmother. Teresa always brightened their lives with joy.
Teresa loved sewing and shared her talents with others by teaching at Lanse Creuse Night Schools and Stretch and Sew Sewing Shop. She always looked forward to the warm months when she could tend to her garden. Her flowers were always picture perfect. Teresa also found great comfort and love in her prayer group, Joy of Jesus, that she faithfully attended for 40 years. To Teresa, the love of her Lord and family stood above all else and she was honored to be the best wife, mother, grandmother, a great grandmother and sister. She will always be known for her faith filled life, her strength and love. Teresa will be deeply missed.
Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 62 years to Tony; dearest children Gary (Linda) Oldani, Craig (Karen) Oldani and Lisa (Kenneth) Green; cherished grandchildren Erica, Kevin (Sabrina) and Nicholas Green; adored great granddaughter Natalie; beloved siblings Secondina (Curtis) Ecklund, Cataldo (Patricia) Zuckero, Mary Louise (Peter) Franz; dear sister-in-law Ann Zuckero; and by many beautiful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lydia (Jerry) Fracassa, Alberta (Thomas) Jankowski, and Frank Zuckero;
