Matthew William Duhaime, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully on April 3, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 36 years of age.
Matthew was born in William Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak, Michigan, son of David and Kimberly (Krueger) Duhaime. He was a 1999 Fraser High School graduate who played football and basketball for the Ramblers and also played on a federation baseball team. Matt was a very well rounded man and was very musically talented, writing many songs, singing, and playing the guitar. He was very adventurous and loved traveling the world. Matt's favorite places to visit were out west to Lake Powell and northern Michigan. He had a great sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. Matt had a strong will and yes, quite stubborn at times. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Matt will be deeply missed and his light will always continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Matthew is the beloved son of Kimberly and the late David Duhaime; dearest brother of David and Doug (Chelsea) Duhaime; and cherished uncle of Colton. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 2pm - 8pm and Saturday, April 8, 2017 10am until the time of funeral at 11am at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Michigan, 48026. Memorials may be addressed to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Matthew's memory. Share memories at www.faulmannwalsh.com
