Jerrold "Jerry" Stover
Jerrold “Jerry” David Stover, a resident of Fraser, died peacefully, following a long illness, Friday, May 5, in St. John Macomb Hospital of Warren. He was 73 years of age.
Jerry was born in Detroit on June 26, 1943, a son of the late Sydney and Beatrice (Benoit) Stover. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Kathleen Kopko on March 5, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple first made their home in Detroit, Moving to Clinton Twp. for 9 years and then to their home in Fraser in 1996. Jerry had worked for many years as a mechanic in heavy machine industry and later as a warehouse supervisor of construction deliveries. He has been retired for the last 10 years. Jerry was a lover of classic cars, especially Oldsmobile’s, enjoyed estate sales, showing his auto’s at car shows and visiting the cabin in Kalkaska and four wheelers. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and enjoyed his company.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen; his children, Jerrold P. (Lisa), Bonnie, William (Jonelle), Stacey, and Joh (Kerry). He is also survived by his loving 11 grandchildren; his great grandson and by his brother Keith (Susan). He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Jackie and Kathi.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd. Fraser, Tuesday from 2pm till 8pm and Wednesday from 10am till time of funeral service at 11am. A memorial luncheon will follow at the Vintage House of Fraser. Burial will be held at the Southfield Cemetery, Southfield at 2:30pm
