Leonard J. Shaddach, resident of Clinton Twp., died peacefully Sunday morning in Henry Ford Macomb Hospital at the age of 94 years.
Leonard was born in Detroit on November 28, 1922, the son of the late Alex and Hattie (Pincoski) Shaddach. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Leonard met and married his beloved Anna Marie Sauter on October 11, 1947 in St. Clements Catholic Church of Center Line. The couple made their home in Centerline, Warren and finally in Clinton Twp. in 2006. He owned and operated with the help of his wife as secretary, the LJL Trucking Co. of Warren until retiring at the age of 62. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida, was an avid Golfer and a member of the Fr. Kramer Knights of Columbus in Center Line. Leonard was always a gentleman, loving and well-mannered and well respected. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Leonard is survived by his loving son, Gary (Elaine) and his adoring grandchildren, Jenny and Randy (Julia). Leonard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Marie on July 21, 2012 and by a sister Florence M. Kigour.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Wednesday 2pm till 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. Peters Catholic Church of Mt. Clemens at 9:30am. Additional visitation at the church from 9am till time of Mass.
