Obituary for Beverly Moore
Beverly Jean Moore, resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully May 9, 2017. She was 83 years of age.
Beverly was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 25, 1934, a delightful daughter of Arnold and Helen (Ray) McConnell. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Edwin Moore, on December 5, 1952 in Detroit. The couple made their home in Sterling Heights and was blessed with two children of whom they loved and cherished. Beverly dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Beverly had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She enjoyed helping others and put her passion to work by being a caregiver for any family member or friend in need. After Edwin’s retirement, the couple moved to Caro where she loved and enjoyed many close friendships. Beverly was an avid reader who enjoyed tending to her yard and garden. She also enjoyed watching a good movie. Beverly was a devote Catholic who's faith in her Lord Jesus Christ and love of the Blessed Mother only grew stronger. She prayed daily, always remembering her family and friends in her prayers. Weekly Mass was never to be missed. It was Beverly’s strong faith that had held her through all life's ups and downs but she was always grateful to her Lord for the many blessings He had given her. We are all eternally thankful for Beverly who taught us to be more loving and caring people by the life she led. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that she has left behind.
Beverly is the beloved wife of Edwin; cherished mother of Karen (Ronald) Yates and Doug Moore; loving grandmother of Kyle, Rachel and Ava Yates; dear great grandmother of Jaxon Yates; and dearest sister of Helen Staels and the late Michele Gazdag.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunneley, Clinton Township, MI 48035 on Tuesday, May 16 at 10 a.m.
