Donald R. Graves, a former Roseville resident, passed away on August 11, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 85 years old.
Donald was born on July 7, 1932 in Detroit to Ernest C. and Irene (nee Barch) Graves. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. After returning from the service, he met and married the love of his life, Janice, in Detroit on May 9, 1959. Together, they shared an amazing 51 years of marriage, until Janice's passing in 2010. They are now together forever.
Donald worked for many years as a tool maker in the tool and die industry. Outside of his work, he enjoyed remote-controlled airplanes, golf, bowling, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was also a proud Mason and a member of the VFW. Donald moved with Janice to West Branch in 1994 and would winter in Florida from 1996 until this spring.
Donald is survived by his loving sons, Ernest (Carol) and Donald (Beth) Graves; cherished grandchildren Joshua, Jenna, Sarah, and Matthew; and beloved brother James (Sandy) Graves and Rita P. Von Koss-Kotch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by this parents and beloved wife.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 4pm until time of funeral service at 7pm, at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026.
