Michael Angelo Cataldo, longtime resident of Macomb, died peacefully August 22, 2017 with the love of his wife by his side. He was 67 years of age.
Michael was born on September 18, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Justin and Benedetta (Giacchina) Cataldo. He was a 1967 Fraser High School graduate; and married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Domas, in December of 1971 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints. Michael made his career in the construction industry, being self employed. He was very musically inclined and loved music and playing his guitar when ever he could. Michael was an excellent cook and was quite the collector of matchbooks. He was a kindhearted man who loved animals and dedicated many hours volunteering at the Michigan Humane Society. Michael will be deeply missed by the many he has touched in his lifetime; and the friendship and compassion he extended to others was a blessing. His light will continue to the glow in our hearts forever.
Michael is the devoted and loving husband of Cynthia; dearest brother of Anthony (Maureen), Richard (Michelle), Elizabeth (Antonio) Cutraro, Justin (Suzanne) and Vincent (Kristen); and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2017, at 10am at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Road Shelby Township MI 48315. Memorial contributions may be addressed to the Michigan Humane Society in Michael's memory.
