James Charles Hoef, age 60; resident of Gaylord and former longtime resident of Roseville, passed away November 14, 2017.
Jim was born on August 9, 1957 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, son of the late Fredrick and Donna (Vervaecke) Hoef. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Kelly Ann Petritis, on July 3, 1992 in Fraser, Michigan. The couple made their home in Roseville and was blessed with two wonderful children of whom he loved and cherished. Jim made his career as a Marine Technician for over 20 years, retiring in 2012. After his retirement, the couple made their home in Gaylord, Michigan. Jim loved the outdoors and enjoyed off-roading. He was very gifted with his hands and used his talented hands woodworking. Jim was quite the jokester and enjoyed making others laugh. He will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Jim is the loving husband of Kelly; cherished father of Cassandra and Christopher; beloved brother of Carol (Edward Bartolomei), Michael (Barb) and the late Rob Hoef.
