Ernest "Ernie" Lemanski
Ernest "Ernie" Lemanski, a longtime resident of St. Clair and formerly Clinton Twp., passed away in his home on December 21, 2017. He was 64 years old.
Ernie was born on November 1, 1953 to Elmer Joseph and Florence Marie (nee Harrison) Lmenaksi in Detroit, Michigan. On February 14, 1981, he married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Corfield, in Mt. Clemens. They made their first home in Clinton Township before retiring to St. Clair in September of 1998. Ernie worked for many years as a millwright for Local Union 1102 before retiring in 1999. Outside of his work, Ernie especially loved to hunt, fish, share the company of family and friends at his home, and put on delicious fish fry's for family and friends. Above all, Ernie was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his entire family. Ernie had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and always a smile to give. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife Margaret; cherished mother Florence; beloved children Jeanine Galloway and Andrea Tucker; adoring grandchildren Matt, Marilyn, Aaron, Raven, Danielle, and Maggie; great-grandchildren Amirah, Carson, and River; siblings Marie (Mike) Byron, Joan (the Late Dennis) Kott, Dick (Darlene) Lemanski, Marge (Terry) Lowder, Sue (the Late Jim) Love; and brothers-in-law Ron Corfield and Bill Corfield. He was preceded in death by his father Elmer.
