Tammy Ann DiStefano, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died unexpectedly December 28, 2017. She was 50 years of age.
Tammy was born on August 11, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a 1985 Fraser High School graduate. Tammy was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Paul DiStefano, on December 10, 1993 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints of Fraser. The couple made their home in Clinton Township and their union was blessed with three beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. Tammy had a heart of gold and to know her was to love her. Because of her nurturing ways and her love to help others, she started a career as a Registered Nurse. Tammy had culinary talents, as well, and was known for her Watergate cake which was handed down from her grandmother’s secret recipes. Tammy enjoyed shopping, crafting, concerts and a good movie or just watching reality TV. She loved to travel and enjoyed relaxing on the beach. Tammy was quite the sweet talker, never bashful and was always rubbing elbows with rock stars and celebrities. She was always the life of the party and her smile and beauty would always light up the room. Although we grieve her passing, we are eternally grateful for our beautiful Tammy who has taught us to be more loving, caring, happy and positive people by the life she led. Her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Tammy is the loving wife of 24 years to Paul; cherished mother of Nicholas, Savanna and Zachary; beloved daughter of Carol and John Vitale and the late Marlin Smith; and dearest sister of Shawn (Scott) McCormick and Matthew Smith.
