Obituary for Mary Conroy (Perkins)

Mary Conroy (Perkins)
Mary Ellen Conroy, a 63 year resident of St. Clair Shores, died Saturday in St. John Hospital Detroit at the age of 88.

Mary was born in Stubinville, Ohio on March 20, 1929. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Richard in Detroit on November 5, 1948. The couple made their home in many cities until moving to St. Clair Shores in 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband at an early age in 1972. Mary Ellen had worked for over 20 years with Sears Roebuck retiring at the age of 80. Mary enjoyed Cross Word Puzzles, old TV shows (especially Little House on The Prairie and Leave it to Beaver), shopping and was an avid Texting expert. She was also a big Tigers fan. Most of all, she adored and loved her family and her beloved dog, Casey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her devoted children, Kathleen (Gregory) Sump, Martin Conroy, Shirley (David) Green - Felder, Patricia (Paul) Selvidge and Jeanne Brow. She is also survived by her dearest eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides her beloved husband Richard, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Mildred, Shirley, Ray and Ernie.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Thursday,. February 15th from 2pm till time of memorial services at 3pm. A life celebration will be held following the service at Infinity Hall adjacent to the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Mary's name to the Humane Society of Macomb appreciated.
