William "Bill" McCauley
William "Bill" R. McCauley, a Resident of Tecumseh, Michigan since 1997, died suddenly Friday evening surrounded by the love of his family, Bill was 89 years of age.
Bill was born in Massilien, Ohio on November 4, 1928, a son of the late John and Zella (Shilling) McCauley. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S.Navy. Bill was united in marriage to his loving wife, Mary Lou LeClairre on February 11, 1956 in Ohio where the couple made their first home, moving to Detroit and then to Southfield in 1960, He had worked for the Timken Company of Detroit for over 35 years and then for Detroit Ball Bering Co. for 12 years. He was a past member of the Odd Fellows of Southfield. Bill owned his own consulting company for 7 years. Bill loved carpentry, gardening, working to improve his home, and coin collecting . He was an amazing photographer. Bill was a very outgoing, hard working and humble person who always had a helping hand for others. A great Role model for his family and friends, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Lou; his loving children Patrick (Trena), Lisa, and Michael (Susan) McCauley; his loving grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Rachel and Hillary (Michael) Martenson and great grandchildren, Jensen and Ryland. He was preceded in death by his daughter Katheine in infancy and by sisters., Norma Jean, Joanne and Sandra.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Tuesday from 2pm till time of funeral services at 6:30pm. A life celebration will be held immediately following the service at Infinity Hall & Sidebar.
