Leonard was born in Detroit on May 29, 1940, the son of the late Stanley and Stella (Donikowski) Durda. He served his country honorably in the U.S.Army. Leonard was married to his loving wife, Patricia Wojewoda, in Detroit on October 10, 1964 and first made their home in Hamtramck before moving to Roseville 34 years ago.
