David Michael Thomas, a 10 year resident of Fraser, died June 7th in Henry Ford Hospital Macomb, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 61 years of age.
David was born in Detroit on November 21, 1956, the son of Donald W. and Anna (Cheghezan) Thomas. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Colleen on February 14, 2003 in St. Clair Shores where the couple made their first home before moving to Fraser. David was self employed as a carpenter in the construction industry. He was an avid Detroit Sports Teams fan who especially liked the Detroit Lions. He was a very helpful person who was always there for others. A jack of all trades, he would pitch in when needed. A kindhearted and loving person who always had a smile and a joke to tell. He will be always remembered for his hugs and happy go lucky love for others.
David is survived by his loving wife, Colleen; his mother, Anna; brother, Donald A . and Darren; stepson Michael (Jessica) Kozdron; ,mother in law, Betty Romel; sisters in laws, Mary Thomas, Cheryl (Stanley) Kowalski; brother in laws, Wayne (Meg), Kevin (Annette) and Craig Romel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Donald W. Thomas, sister, Karen (Thomas) Lasko and his brother, Douglas Thomas.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Sunday from 4pm till time of funeral services at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family appreciated. Share memories with the family at www.faulmannwalsh.com.
