Lucille Brochu, a resident of Columbus Twp., died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family in Medi Lodge of St. Clair. She was 78 years of age.
Lucille was born in Detroit on April 6, 1940, a daughter of the late David and Ruth (Richter) Kyle. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband Aime Brochu on April 26, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. The couple first made their home in Detroit and later Clinton Twp. After her beloved husband's passing, she moved to Columbus in 1998. Lucille had worked in the sales department of the Crowley Department Stores unitl 1990 and later for Kroger Foods from 1996 until retirement in 2009. She enjoyed ceramics, making Christmas ornaments for friends and family, drawing and painting. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lucille is survived by her loving children; April (Al Sisson) Brochu , Buddy Brochu,David Brochu, Rose Pickard and Vivian (Jim) Garrison; her grandchildren Joey (Shelby LaForest) Bak, Anthony (Amber) Bak, Jeff Garrison, Amanda (Brandon Apolzan) Garrison, Christina (Brandon Courtney), John (Becca) Brochu, and Jessica (Leo Melistas) Brochu; and great grandchildren Sonya LaForest, Maddisun Garrison, Aden, Apolzan, Jesse Apolzan, Anna Price, Cory Price, Abby Courtney, Jena Courtney, Brandon Courtney Jr., Nicholas Brochu, Nicholas Melistas, Calix Melistas, Helen Melistas, Vasilios Melistas, Anthony Grosso, and Caleb Youngski. She is also survived by her brother, David Kyle. Lucille was also a loving aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and godmother. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Aime, step-father John Miller, brother Richard Kyle, and granddaughter Nicole Grosso.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Thursday from 4pm till time of funeral service at 7pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester.
