Sharon Kay Johnston, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was 74 years of age.
Sharon was born in Wayne, West Virginia on May 26, 1944, daughter of the late Henry and Freda Mae (Adkins) Gibson. Sharon moved to Fraser, Michigan in 1963 and was blessed with four beautiful daughters of whom she loved and cherished. Sharon made sure her girls never went without and taught them strong values of life by the life she led. She was loving and caring; and her passion of caring for the elderly led her in the medical field for many years. Sharon worked for Dr. Nance's office in Fraser and at different nursing homes throughout her career as a medical assistant. Her greatest joy was her family and made sure everyone came over for her wonderful Sunday dinners. Sharon will always be known for her sweet smile, her culinary skills and her giving hand. She will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Sharon is the loving mother of Angela Johnston, Dimitra (Jerry) Yates, Sara Johnston and Tricia Davey; dearest grandmother of eight cherished grandchildren, David, Denielle, Dalton (Shelby), Joshua (Carly), Nathan, Jacob, Olivia, Mateo and one great grandchild, Adalyn.
Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Saturday from 2pm till time of funeral service at 5pm.
