Jacqueline "Jackie" Elam
Jacqueline Faye Elam, a long time resident of Macomb County, died peacefully in the care of Regency Care Center of Shelby. She was 73 years of age.
Jackie was born in Detroit on November 30, 1944, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Locke) Elam. She had worked for the Savin Computer Company of Troy as the Administrative Assistant for over 20 years retiring because of business closing. She couldn't sit still and finished working for the Binson Company of Warren. Jackie was an avid reader who enjoyed painting, sewing, and enjoying the water and the beach at Caseville. She also enjoyed Bowling and Golfing in her younger years. Jackie loved cooking for her family and was known for her delicious "Polish Meatballs". She devoted her life to her family and especially to spoiling her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving children, Lisa (Carlos) Leon-York, Paul Okros, Christine (Steven) Dill and Debra (Chad) Johnson. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Mark Lewis, Austin, Amberly, and Adriena Vilk, Monica Leon-York, Alexis and Samantha Okros and Emma Johnson and her darling great granddaughter, Elena Okros. Also surviving is her sisters Patricia (Sam) Gentile and Kathryn Hajjar.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Rd Clinton Township, MI 48035 on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 12 Noon with gathering starting at 11:30 AM.
