Eugene Edward Dubey, a resident of Clinton Twp. and long time resident of St. Clair Shores, was received into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 13, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 94 years of age.
Eugene was born on August 14, 1924 in Lake City, Michigan a son of the late Samuel and Frances (Longstreth) Dubey. He served his country honorably during WWII in the U.S.Marine Corps. 4th Division. Eugene was united in marriage to his beloved wife Lavora Hompstead on August 16, 1947 in Alpena, Michigan. The couple first made their home in Detroit moving to St. Clair Shores for many years before moving to Clinton Twp. in 2002. Eugene worked for Ford Motor Company for over 40 years holding many positions and finally served as a cycle checker at the time of retirement at the age of 58. He was a very hard worker who always put his family first. He loved gardening and was a loving and caring person who will be deeply missed.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Lavora; his devoted children, David (Nancy) Dubey, Diane (Dennis) Wegner, Janet (Robert Sheridan) Dubey, Debbie (Dave) Hargis, Judy (Dave) Mazzie, Joyce (Joe) Marinello and Roger (Pat) Dubey. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
A memorial gathering will be held, Thursday, September 20th at the Infinity Hall in Fraser from 11am until time of Memorial Service at 12 noon with Luncheon to follow.
