Obituary

Madolyn Bedard, longtime resident of Eastpointe, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on December 20, 2018. She was 87 years of age.

Madolyn was born on June 27, 1931 in Rector, Arkansas, daughter of the late Thomas and Artra (Parson) Landrum. She loved growing up in Arkansas and shared many memories with her family and friends of all good times. Madolyn was united in marriage to her beloved husband, James Bedard, on March 14, 1961. The couple made their home in Eastpointe until residing in Marine City in 1998. Madolyn was blessed with five beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. Her family always came first and provided them a loving home with Christian values. She worked in the Automotive Industry for many years as a press operator. Madolyn was an avid reader who enjoyed to needle-point. She was also a sports fan and always looked forward to watching the Red Wings and the Tigers play. Madolyn loved the Lord and it was her faith that helped her through all life's challenges. She was a devoted member of her church and was always their with a helping hand. Above all, Madolyn loved being with family and treasured all the beautiful memories that were made throughout her lifetime. She was a dedicated and loving wife, a supportive mother, and a caring grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. Her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Madolyn is the loving wife of the late James; dearest mother of Terry (Karen) Hamilton, Roger (Diane) Hamilton, Al (Marcie) Hamilton, Cheri (James Jewell) Fishback and Mark (Kelly) Bedard; cherished grandmother of thirteen beautiful grandchildren and sixteen sweet great grandchildren; and sister of the late five sisters and three brothers.
