Mary Sue Stevens, known to most as Sue, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully January 24, 2021. She was 80 years of age.

Sue was born in Fonde, Bell County, Kentucky, a delightful daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Proffitt) Lowe. She met the love of her life, Joseph Thomas Stevens, and soon they would wed on March 27, 1959. The couple made their home in Clinton Township. Sue was a devoted wife and mother and provided a loving home with Christian values. She looked forward to the warm months of Michigan tending to her beautiful flower gardens and her hearty vegetable garden. Sue enjoyed giving her fruits of labor to all her friends and neighbors. She enjoyed crocheting and in the kitchen cooking away. Sue also enjoyed stamp collecting and scrapbooking. She lived life with love and loved her Lord and Savior. The friendship and compassion she extended was a blessing to all. Sue will be deeply missed.

Sue is the loving wife of the late Joseph; cherished mother of Roger; dearest sister of the late Harold (Judy) and Clifford (Pat) Lowe; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; and beloved friend to many.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Wednesday from 2pm - 8pm. A funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11am with additional visitation starting at 10am. Share memories at

Such a dear neighbor who became a treasured friend over the years. She affectionately called me her “forever friend” and I felt the same about her 💕
Her faith in our dear Lord was her guiding light in her life. Although she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched, she is safely home in the arms of our loving God and reunited with her dear husband Joe, who she so terribly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Roger her son who she so loved.
We are there for you in the weeks and months ahead.
Our deepest sympathy, Mike and Chris St. Onge
