Robert William Meyer, longtime resident of Roseville, died peacefully November 8, 2020. He was 70 years of age.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
Bob was born in Sinai- Grace Hospital of Detroit, Michigan on January 30, 1950, son of the late William and Mildred (Vierk) Meyer. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bob was released from active duty on May 30, 1972 and married the love of his life, Judith Ann Gall, in Old Stone Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg, West Virginia on June 24, 1972. The couple made their home in Roseville and was blessed with three wonderful children of whom he loved and cherished. Bob started a career in Drafting and worked for Michigan Bell for many years, retiring in 2000. The couple loved traveling and especially loved to spend time on Beaver Island. Bob always remained active; he enjoyed refereeing games and looked forward to being Santa Claus every year for all the kids. He was the biggest Michigan Football fan and enjoyed talking sports. Bob understood the value of friendship and the compassion and love he extended was a blessing to all. He will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
