Obituary for Richard Kenneth "Rick" Dauphinais

Richard Kenneth "Rick"  Dauphinais
Richard "Rick" Kenneth Dauphinais, a resident of Fraser, was received into the loving care of Jesus suddenly in his home early Sunday morning at the age of 69 years.

Richard was born in Highland Park on August 29, 1949, a son of the Richard and Norma Jean (Riddle) Dauphinais. He was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Nina J. VanSummeren on November 7, 1970 in Tawas Michigan where they made their first home for 2 years.The couple moved around considerably during his honorable service to our freedom's in the U.S.Air Force where he served for over 20 years. The couple have been residences of Fraser since 1993. Rick worked for the government in Immigration Service as a IT specialist following his retirement from the Air Force. Rick enjoyed his Harley and membership with the Harley Owners Association of Wolverine Motors. He also enjoyed shooting, the love of his grandchildren and family. His motto in life is don't mess with my food, wife and kids. He was a truly giving person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rick is survived by his devoted wife, Nina; his loving children, Matthew (Barbara), Cynthia (Todd) Coker, and Carol; his 7 loving grandchildren; his mother Norma Jean; Brothers, Scott (Donna) Kohler and Daniel Dauphinais; Sisiters, Gail (Robert) Colvin, Sandra (Wayne) Bennett, Debbie (Gary) Slanker, and JoAnne Kohler . He was preceded in death by his father, Richard and sister Sherry Brandon.

Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Thursday from 11am till time of funeral service at 2pm. Entombment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later Date. Memorials in Ricks name to Veterans Organizations appreciated . Share memories with the family at www.faulmannwalsh.com
