Jean Bernice Dwyer, resident of Fraser and former longtime resident of Harper Woods, died peacefully March 9, 2019. She was 87 years of age.

Jean was born on December 8, 1931 in New York, New York, daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice (McLanderss) Turner. She was united in marriage to George Dwyer in St. James Presbyterian Church of Detroit. The couple was blessed with two wonderful sons of whom she loved and cherished. Jean never wanted her son's to go without so she worked for Michigan Birch Door of Chesterfield for over 20 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she was a demonstrator for Meijer for 15 years. Jean was a lifelong member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She was the Past Madam President and was very active with all the fundraisers and dinners. Jean loved parties and entertaining. She also enjoyed dancing and bowling. Above all, she loved her family and treasured each and every moment shared with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her life with companion and best friend, Ed Katalenic. Jean will always be known for her kindred spirit, her sweet smile and all those words of wisdom. She will be greatly missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Jean is the cherished mother of Thomas (Maria) and Herbert (Suzanne); dearest grandmother of Phillip (Julie), Brandon (Angela), Andrea (Alex) and Brittany; loving GG of Emma, Kaylee, Lino, Ava, Hudson, Hunter, Barrett, Dax, Brae and Jordan.
Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Friday from 10am until the time of service at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Parkinson Foundation. Share memories at www.faulmannwalsh.com
