Obituary

Luke Michael Weiss, baptized child of God, is singing praises to Jesus in heaven just 14 hours after coming into this world. He passed peacefully in the loving arms of his parents, Rebecca and Theodore Weiss.

Luke is survived by loving siblings, Paul, Joel, and Anna; grand parents, Rev. John and Renee Lehenbauer, and Jared and Marlyn Weiss; great-grand parents, Shirley Geiger, Aletha Hartrick , and Victoria Lehenbauer; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will take place at St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser, Michigan at 11:00 am on March 26th. Interment will follow at Glen Eden East Memorial park in Macomb.
Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church – Building Fund.

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” John 11:25

“And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone one whom the Lord our god calls to himself.” Acts 2:38-39

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

My heart was caught when I read you lost your precious little baby and I wanted to send my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a child, a part of you, can bring such overwhelming grief but I saw your faith and belief in Jesus’ assurance at John 5:28,29 that you will have Luke in your arms once again. Until God’s promises come true may every good thought, every moment of the love you felt, flood and overtake you with calm and peace to help you through the dark moments. It has been a long but distance nor time can not separate the love of Christ. Growing up with the Weiss Family in grade school was a privileged. I grieve with your family but also find delight that you guys lean on the Christ the Solid Rock despite your loss and unanswered questions. Rest assured that you have another advocate in Heaven.
