Obituary

Timothy Joseph Bleser, a long time resident of Eastpointe, died suddenly doing what he loved in his garden at the age of 81 years.

Timothy was born in Detroit on June 30, 1937, a son of the late Joseph and Edith (Tapin) Bleser. Tim served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife Barbara Weidenbach on February 12, 1966 in St. Isaac Jogues Church of St. Clair Shores. The couple made their home in East Detroit (Eastpointe) and have always lived there. Tim was employed in his early years with the Pepsi Company and later was employed and owned with his father the Michigan Capsule Company. He finally worked for the Home Depot Garden Department as a certified master gardener, retiring at the age of 73. Tim enjoyed his passion of gardening, camping, woodworking, and watching the freighters on the St. Clair River. He loved building and fixing things, his tool shop, and always had the desire to own a sail boat. He was a hard working and enjoyable person who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Timothy is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara, his loving children, Matthew (Anne), Gregory (Sherry), Tamara (Dennis) Marlowe, Rebecca (Todd) Borse and Jessica (Brian) Aune; his brother Gerald (Ramona) Bleser and sister, Pamela Pope. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

While I have many many many goofynuts memories that grandpa blessed me with there is this one time I truly will never forget. When I was like 8 I went to McDonald's with my cousin (Jenna) and my grandpa. We decided to eat inside the play place. On our way out my grandpa said "hey girls let's just go out this door it's closer to the car". He then proceeded to walk out. Next thing I know I hear BEEP BEEP BEEP and he just continues to keep on walking. HE WALKED OUT THE FIRE EXIT. So me and my cousin ran through the dining area and out the front door and since we where running everyone starred at us like we did it. We then proceeded to the car and grandpa casually drove off as the fire trucks arrived. We later made gingerbread houses and had a whole day of fun and to this day they now block the fire exit with chairs and displayed a million fire exit signs. Love you so much grandpa and thank you for making sure my childhood never had a dull moment ❤
Love always,
Your Granddaughter Emily
