Obituary

Joseph A. McEwan, a resident of Centerline, died suddenly doing what he loved at his home on Monday at the age of 70.

Joseph was born in Detroit on September 18, 1948, a son of the late Robert and Florence (Grabowski) McEwan. He attended 4 years of Business College and was united in marriage to his beloved wife Martha Rauchman on October 30, 1970 in Holy Redeemer Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple first lived in Detroit, moving to Centerline over 42 years ago. Joe had worked for the Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years, first 20 years as a Security Officer and later on the line at the Warren Truck Plant. Joe loved gardening and was proud of his beautiful back yard. He enjoyed deer hunting, vacationing and always looked forward to staying at his winter home in Nevada. He loved his family and his monthly breakfast with the "Boys". Joe will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Martha; his loving daughter's Melissa (Derek) Kristofice and Kathleen (Jeremy) Gauger; his adoring grandchildren, Benjamin, Isabell, Gracie and Carson.

Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Saturday from 4pm till funeral services at 7pm. Memorial contributions in leu of flowers to the Donors Choice in his honor appreciated. Share memories with the family at www.faulmannwalsh.com

Mr. Joe was a wonderful neighbor for 20 years. He and Mrs. Joe as our children Mikey and HaiLeigh referred to her as, were very sweet, gracious and a joy to live nextdoor to. While in college I mowed their lawn and shoveled their snow. Which I will always be grateful for their help. Mr. Joe always turned his cheek while HaiLeigh was stealing a flower or when one of the children jumped the fence instead of walking around. Neighbors like these 2 wonderful people are few and far between. God bless, many hugs and well wishes.
Love Tamy, Michael, Mikey and HaiLeigh

Marty, Melissa & Kathleen ,

Words cannot adequately express how deeply saddened we are by the loss of your wonderful husband and dad. It is such a shock when a man who was so full of life, and so much fun to be with, is suddenly gone. We are so thankful that we got to spend time with him at the Polish Festival, not even two weeks ago. Bill's friendship with him spanned more than 40 years, and the memories he will have of those Chrysler days will forever be, and he will be truly missed by both of us. The ''Breakfast Boys'' will never be the same, and there will always be..one empty chair...every second Tuesday of every month. However, dear Joe will forever be there.. in spirit, thought, and love. RIP find sir, you were one of a kind. All of you remain in our thoughts and prayers.
