Ronald Keith Byrd, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on July 31, 2019. He was 72 years of age.

Ron was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 27, 1947, son of the late Ellis and Margaret (Heavrin) Byrd. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ron was the proud owner and operator of the Ron Byrd's Custom Bowling for over 30 years located in the Sterling Lanes Bowling Alley. On lanes 11 & 12 is where he married his beautiful wife, Pamela Elaine, on May 21, 2005. Ron was a fun, loving man who was a big softy. He understood the value of friendship and loved his family. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. His light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Ron is the dearest husband of Pamela; cherished father of Ronald (Dawn) Byrd Jr.; dear step-children, Cheryl (Robert) Knepper, Diane and Gary (Nicole) Wodowski and Katie Clubb; loving grandfather of Ronald III, Nicholas, Alex, Tyler, Taylor, Mason, Mikella, Kylie and Addison; beloved brother of Michael (Jan), Thomas (Nancy) and James (Kimberly); and dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday from 2pm until the time of memorial service at 7pm.
