Sylvia was a great mentor to me when I returned to nursing . I was so in awe of her. Later, we became friends, even though she was my boss. My deepest sympatly to her family. She will be missed. Pat Lang.

Sylvia was a wonderful person, friend and nurse! Anyone who met her, loved her. She always cared about others. When I first started at St Joe East, she was my mentor. Heaven has truly gained a special angel. My deepest sympathy to her 5 daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May all those previous memories you have of her help you through this difficult time. She was a SPECIAL LADY❤️

Sylvia was my supervisor when I was a new nurse in 1972. I remember her instructions on technique when I was learning to start IV's, professional advice and fun advice. It was always a thrill when she would stop by at a party and the laughs and stories she had. She always asked me about my kids since she watched over me while working the floors when I was pregnant. Such a love
! She will always have a special place in my heart and at St. Joes! Celebrate with our St. Joes family up there in Heaven. I can only imagine the peace and conversations you will have with our other Angels!

Sylvia was such a very special person and a wonderful nurse. It was an honor and a privilege to know her and to work with her! She had an amazing faith that she so generously shared with all of us. Praying for peace and comfort for all who love her. I regret I am unable to be at the funeral, but will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

It was an honor and privilege to work on "Sylvia's floor" for 9 years. Sylvia was an excellent nurse. I always said she could start an IV just standing in the doorway. She was that good. She will be missed
