Ken was born on August 10, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late George and Ruth (Tibbits) Meeks. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Anne Elizabeth Peddy, February 18, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. They made their home in St. Clair Shores for many years and their union was blessed with eight wonderful children of whom he cherished and loved. The couple enjoyed many years going to Metro Beach warming in the sun. They also really enjoyed listening and dancing along to Big Band music.
Ken was a bookbinder for Helm Bindery; and he went to work with B&B Automotive Parts for many years. He loved duck hunting and bow hunting. He always look forward to being out on the golf course. Ken had a great sense of humor and a gift of gab. His smile would light up the room and he was always the light of the party. Towards the end of his life here on earth, he never let on to any pain or concern. He always had a smile and a joke; and cared for others before himself. Above all, he was a family man who always put them first and treasured each and every moment shared in their company. Ken will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in all of our hearts.
