Obituary

Alice Anne Czanstke, resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on December 28, 2019. She was 64 years of age.

Alice was born in Mt.Clemens on September 29, 1955, daughter of the late Donald and Noemi (Rouster) Knisley. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, David Czanstke, on November 22, 1996 in Ohio. The couple lived in Fraser until making their home in Clinton Township in 1998. Alice was a very loving and giving woman, who retired from the Fraser School District after 38 years of dedicated service as a culinary expert for the Meals on Wheels and for the Senior's. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren; and treasured every moment shared in their company. Her grandchildren where the apple of her eye and was always there cheering them on. Alice enjoyed going to the shows and going out to dinner with her husband and friends. She always looked forward to her drives by the water. Alice lived life with love and purpose and her smile and charisma will always be remembered. She will be greatly missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Alice is the loving and devoted wife of David; dearest mother of Jason (Dana) Czanstke; cherished grandmother of Mason and Jayna; dear sister of Jim (Mary Beth) Knisley, Donna (Ken) Kilgo, Penny (the late Richard) Paczkowski and the late Bett; and beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday, January 2, 2019 from 2pm - 8pm with a Rosary service at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ronald Catholic Church on Friday, January 3, 2019 at 10:30am with additional visitation beginning at 10am. Memorial contributions may be addressed to the American Diabetes Association.

Alice exemplified the Fraser Family. She was a great worker who loved kids and loved FHS. Always smiling, always pro-kids & pro-staff. She loved her family and was always glad to share family news. Deepest sympathy to Dave, Jason, & the rest of the Czanstkes. Alice was amazing - loved her.

So sad to hear about Alice's passing. She has been such an amazing contributor to her family, her community and especially Fraser schools. We have had the privilege to know the Czanstke family for many years and we know how much Alice will be missed. May God be with them in their time of grief and sorrow.

Prayers for your loss.

Sincerely,

The Mike Sand Family

Dear Dave and Jason, I was so very sad and shocked to hear about Alice. I know that you and the kids are terribly heartbroken because she was loved so very much. I know you'll find the strength to go on because that's what Alice would want. Please know that I'm thinking about both of you and know the depth of grief you feel. You're not alone; she'll always be with you. Alice will be loved forever, forgotten never. Prayers for you all.
