Irene Villarreal, a long time resident of Warren, was received into the loving arms of The Lord and her wonderful husband Leopoldo on January 29, 2020 at the age of 93.

Irene was born just outside of Austin Texas, on June 28, 1926, the daughter of Diego and Pilar Rodriguez. She met and married the LOVE of her life Leopoldo Villarreal at the tender age of 16. Leo and Irene shared 68 beautiful years together. She was a devoted worker to the General Motors Corporation's Interior division in Livonia where she sewed and hand stitched seats, until she was promoted to the job of Inspector. Irene was a devoted member of Van Dyke Freedom Baptist Church for many years where she had many church friends whom she loved. Irene always put her family first! She enjoyed sewing, and making beautiful dresses for her daughter and granddaughters. She was a talented gardener, even winning the Beautification Award for the city of Warren. She loved to travel with her Leo, family, and with her travel group the Sonshine Club. She was a beautician by trade and always had impeccable style. She was a kind and giving women who loved to share her love for Mexican food, she enjoyed cooking and bringing it to everyone she cared for especially her neighbors who she loved tremendously. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Irene is survived by her loving daughter Sylvia Villarreal-Foyt (Dennis); her grandchildren, Andrea Lynn Kanakry, Michael (Jessica) Kanakry, Jenna Nola, Tanya Mitchell, Joshua, Jordan and Bianca Dante; her loving great grandchildren, Sandra, Angel, Leopoldo, Marley Lynn, Alina Lynn, Taylor, Skylar, Mikie, Maximus, Logan and Ashlyn Irene. Dion and Beckna. Irene was blessed to meet her great great grandchildren, Kamila Irene, and Azaylia Irene. She was also survived by her beautiful Sister Raquel Ramarez along with many family members back home in Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leopoldo (February 9, 2011) and by many siblings.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Wednesday from 2pmtil 8pm and Thursday from 10am til time of funeral services at 11am. Burial will follow in Cadillac Memorial Gardens, Clinton Twp. Memorials in her memory to the family wishes appreciated.
