Obituary

Denise Carol Anglin, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully February 23, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 67 years of age. Denise fought a courageous battle and has now won the war. Her struggle is over, and has received her victor's crown and her robe of righteousness.

Denise was born on December 29, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, a miracle child to Gerald and Geraldine (Jarvis) DeWolf. She was baptized and given the name Denise Carol Philomena Rita DeWolf. Denise was married to her beloved and devoted husband, Charles Michael Anglin, on December 6, 1974 at St. Phelomena Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple made their home in Clinton Township and their union was blessed with two wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished. Denise dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother and devoted wife. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Denise had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She enjoyed helping others and put her passion to work, by hand knotting Rosaries for our Soldiers overseas. Denise enjoyed bowling in her younger years and always loved going to their cottage up north with her family. She lived life by example with love and purpose. To know Denise was to love her. She always made everyone feel special and the compassion and friendship she extended was a blessing to all. Denise will always be known for her bubbly personality, her bright and sunny smile that would light up a room, and her positive attitude. It was her faith in her Lord our Savior that got her through all life's ups and downs. Although we grieve her passing, we know that Denise has left us for a better life free from all pain and care. We are all eternally thankful for our Denise Carol Philomena Rita Anglin who taught us to be more loving and genuine people by the life she led. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that she has left behind.

Denise is the loving wife of Charles "Mike"; Cherished mother of Timothy Anglin and Kimberly (Richard) Mandoky; adored grandmother of Draycen, Jaxen and one on the way; beloved sister of Donna (the late Robert) Garofalo, Lawrence (Kathleen) DeWolf, Diane (Eldon) Cornett and Debra (Craig) Hanselman; and dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday from 5pm - 8pm, Friday 2pm - 8pm with a 7PM Rosary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Scotland on Saturday at 10am with additional at 9am - 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Children's Hospital of Detroit in her memory. Share memories with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com

Hey Sis! My memory that came yesterday - I was sitting on the porch and looked at my car. There is a thingy that hangs down in the front to stop the driver from going over the curb. Mine is busted up really bad. I asked Craig if we could cut off the jagged pieces because it looks bad underneath the car. He said if I would stop running into parking curbs it would not be broken. This brought the memory of when you had your Pinto (the Hot Rod Pinto CJ talks about in his post). You, me, and the three boys were going somewhere (don't remember where). You were driving the Pinto. We stopped at some store on 14 mile (I think). When we went to leave you put the Pinto in forward and ran over the parking curb. I mean right on top of the parking curb. The car was balancing on the curb and teetering back and forth. No wheels on the ground. Of course, two young moms with 3 little boys in the car didn't know what to do. Got out to take a look and started laughing through our tears. Finally, two very hunky men came to our rescue. That car was so light (or they were so strong) they lifted the car off the parking curb. That's right - they one in front and one in back the lifted the whole car up and set it back down off the parking curb. We were amazed and grateful. No harm done to the car. I must say - I am laughing out loud right now just thinking about this. Hope you are laughing too! Love and miss you every day. Deb Deb

Hi Dear Sister. So today is the 4th of July. I know this was one of you very favorite holidays. You absolutely loved going to Atlanta, Michigan for the fireworks. In the beginning they were displayed over Crooked River in town (pre-cabin days). Then you and Mike bought your cabin. Oh with a joy for you when they Chamber of Commerce (or whoever) decided to move it to the Little League Ball Field; right across from your cabin. You would get so very excited. You invited everyone to you place to watch the fireworks from "up close." Year after year family gathered and enjoyed the display with you. Sadly, last year you had your first fall right before and couldn't get out of the chair to enjoy them. Still, family came and sat in your yard and watched in awe as this small town put on a fabulous fireworks display. No doubt the grandness of this was, in part, due to your yearly $$ donations to keep them going. I am sad today thinking of how much you loved the 4th of July and having my first one with you gone. But as you look down from Heaven, here is a picture from this year's Atlanta, Michigan fireworks display. Miss you. Love you. Deb Deb

Hey! Hot hot hot the last few days. Went up north to Craig and Jen's cabin. Took Deven and Daemon. Went fishing off the dock. This reminded me of our trips to Aunt Ginny's trailer in Fenton with the three boys. All three learned to fish there. Man - putting worms on three hooks was a real challenge. Ewwwww - you wouldn't touch them. Once they got a little older we took Craig's fishing boat there. Remember how I tried to back the boat into the water. Ha Ha. I was so bad. We were holding up a long line of fishermen and pleasure boats. People were getting mad. The line got so long that a man came up to the truck and asked kindly if he could just put it in for me. Whew - he did it in a minute. I parked the truck and trailer and we were off. Had a great day. Miss you. Love you. Deb Deb
