Obituary

Denise Carol Anglin, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully February 23, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 67 years of age. Denise fought a courageous battle and has now won the war. Her struggle is over, and has received her victor's crown and her robe of righteousness.

Denise was born on December 29, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, a miracle child to Gerald and Geraldine (Jarvis) DeWolf. She was baptized and given the name Denise Carol Philomena Rita DeWolf. Denise was married to her beloved and devoted husband, Charles Michael Anglin, on December 6, 1974 at St. Phelomena Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple made their home in Clinton Township and their union was blessed with two wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished. Denise dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother and devoted wife. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Denise had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She enjoyed helping others and put her passion to work, by hand knotting Rosaries for our Soldiers overseas. Denise enjoyed bowling in her younger years and always loved going to their cottage up north with her family. She lived life by example with love and purpose. To know Denise was to love her. She always made everyone feel special and the compassion and friendship she extended was a blessing to all. Denise will always be known for her bubbly personality, her bright and sunny smile that would light up a room, and her positive attitude. It was her faith in her Lord our Savior that got her through all life's ups and downs. Although we grieve her passing, we know that Denise has left us for a better life free from all pain and care. We are all eternally thankful for our Denise Carol Philomena Rita Anglin who taught us to be more loving and genuine people by the life she led. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that she has left behind.

Denise is the loving wife of Charles "Mike"; Cherished mother of Timothy Anglin and Kimberly (Richard) Mandoky; adored grandmother of Draycen, Jaxen and one on the way; beloved sister of Donna (the late Robert) Garofalo, Lawrence (Kathleen) DeWolf, Diane (Eldon) Cornett and Debra (Craig) Hanselman; and dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday from 5pm - 8pm, Friday 2pm - 8pm with a 7PM Rosary. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Scotland on Saturday at 10am with additional at 9am - 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Children's Hospital of Detroit in her memory. Share memories with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com

Good morning, Sissy. Today I am donning a mask and gloves to go to the store to get toilet paper and some other items. Shopping during this virus is a high risk, but I have to do it. Thinking about shopping during Easter week reminded me of memories of us shopping with mom. Do you remember when we went with her to Woolworth just before Easter. At that time the candy was in huge bins and a girl behind the counter would serve what you wanted. This time the girl behind the counter was only a teenager (probably her first job). Mom told the girl she wanted a pound of jelly beans. When the girl began to scoop out the jelly beans mom stopped her. She very sweetly said, "I would like a pound of all purple jelly beans please." The girl was appalled and looked at her supervisor. The supervisor simply nodded to her to "please the customer." Sooo.....the girl began to pick out the purple jelly beans (I think she may have had tears in her eyes). Mom and the supervisor began to laugh and laugh (somehow mom signaled the supervisor who was in on the joke). Mom told the girl she was just teasing. The girl blushed and nervously chuckled. We (you and I) were so very embarrassed. We did not find this funny at all. Wellllll....we were just too young to appreciate such humor because that memory today made me I laugh and laugh. It WAS funny. Our Mommy was so fun. Missing you this Easter week - here we are all dressed up for Easter - with Mom and Grandma Lou! Deb Deb

Hello Sweet Sister,
Well, tomorrow is my 66th birthday. Oh how very sad I am to not be able to celebrate it with you. My best birthday memory is when you would come with Tim and Kim to celebrate with me. The last few years you were unable to come to my house for our "traditional" holiday celebrations. But one year you bought me a wonderful pair of pajamas. I was not able to wear pajamas when I had my tummy ulcer - it hurt to have the bottoms on. Well this year I was better and you gave me my first pair of jammies. I now love my jammies. I still have and still wear the ones you bought. It is a reminder that most things heal over time. I am sure my grieving will too. But it will never be the same without you. I am trying really hard to find the new "norm." It is more difficult with stay home stay safe orders - but I am trying. Missing you so much today and probably even more tomorrow. Does the bow remind you of anyone - Ha ha. Love, Deb Deb

Yep - me again. Today I was thinking about the time we had a huge water fight in the kitchen. Splish-Splash. We laughed until mom got the garden hose out and gave us a little squirt with it. We were shocked to say the least. Then we all laughed and laughed. What a wonderful laugh mommy had. Then we had to quickly clean the entire kitchen (because it was all wet) before daddy got home at 5:00. Our mommy was so light hearted and fun. Oh what memories.

It has been a few days since I posted. Things are crazy here. You would be so very frightened for yourself and everyone else you love. I am scared too! I was telling Di Di, if God was calling you home anyhow, he did it at the right time for you. Of course - his timing is perfect. I can't even begin to imagine not being with you every day that last couple of weeks. I cannot even imagine not say a final good by. So many people are dying here right now - in hospitals on ventilators and no loved ones are allowed in. The bodies are being held - no funerals. I miss you like crazy - but I am glad you did not have to go through your final time on this earth during this pandemic. You were such a amazing sister. You were the most wonderful mother. You were a loyal wife. And most of all - A faithful servant of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Our Heavenly Father knew your faith and you fears. His timing is perfect - for you, Sissy. I am crying and I am healing. Until we meet again - Deb Deb
