Victor Frank Harper, Long time resident of Fraser, was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday night, in the care of hospice in Church of Christ Care Center at the age of 94 years.

Victor was born on September 28, 1925 in his parents home in Detroit, the son of the late Frank and Minnie (Farrington) Harper. He met his loving wife and he said he fell in love with the back of her head, Phyllis Ann Cusworth in the church of their marriage, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Detroit on November 11, 1961. The couple made their first home in Detroit moving to Fraser in 1978. Victor worked as a truck driver since he was 25 years of age for Ludington News Company, retiring at the age of 62. Victor was all about his friends and especially his family. He enjoyed his family time, going on trips and driving to a his Uncle Albert's cottage in Fair Haven on Lake St. Clair on Sundays. He loved animals especially dogs, and always had a story to tell. Victor loved his Lord and Savior and his church, St. Michael's Episcopal of Grosse Pointe. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Victor is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; his devoted daughters, Vicki Lynn (Wayne) Courterier and Shari Ann (Peri) Ibarluzea; grandchildren, Nicole (Scott), Eric, Christian, and Jacob and great granddaughter, Harper Rae. He is also survived by his loving dog Scotty. Victor was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Willoughby.

Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser Sunday from 2pm till time of funeral at 4pm. Due to the pandemic Mask's are requested for all participants. A life celebration will be held at a later date in Infinity Hall of Fraser. Memorials to the Humane Society in his honor appreciated. My heart is breaking, but it is also filled with joy knowing that Heaven is celebrating Uncle Vic with open arms. I have a lifetime of wondrous memories, but my most favorite memories were our Elliott, Harper, and Willoughby Saturday rides / adventures. I still don't know how 6 adults, 7 kids, a toboggan, ice skates, coffee, hot chocolate, and goodies all fit into one station wagon. Grateful and blessed that family friendships gave me / us Uncle Vic and the best memories one could ask for. Love and hugs to you Aunt Phyllis, Vicki, Shari and your beautiful families. Xoxo
