Karen was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 16, 1943, daughter of the late Bryson and Doris Ann (Jones) Case. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Joseph Peter Costa, on January 29, 1983 at Christ the King Lutheran Church of Grosse Pointe Woods. Karen had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She always provided a loving christian home for her children and was known to her children's friends as "Mom." Karen lived life with love and purpose. She was outgoing and with her bubbly personality never met a stranger. Karen enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She also loved watching football. She always looked forward to her long drives with Joe; and loved a delicious dinner out and a great movie. The couple loved to go out dancing and Karen sure loved her music, especially the 50's & 60's. Karen had a wonderful collection of Angels and bears and flowers.
She loved her dogs and that Coco is going to miss her. Although we grieve her passing, we know that Karen has left us for a better life free from all pain. We are all eternally thankful for our Karen Lee Costa who taught us to be more loving, nurturing and compassionate people by the life she led. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that she has left behind.
