Obituary

David Alen Goloweyco, longtime resident of Fraser, Michigan passed away unexpectedly June 29, 2020. He was 62 years of age.

David was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 13, 1958, son of the late Steven and Margaret (Sypniewski) Goloweyco. In 1977, he graduated from Osborn High of Detroit, which in April of that same year he met and fell in love with Susan Marie Francis. David and Susan married on October 5, 1985 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Detroit. The couple made their home in Fraser in 1988 and were blessed with two beautiful children (Alan and Amanda) of whom he loved and cherished. David, along with his brother, Dennis, was Co-Owner and Operator of Central Painting and Maintenance for many years.

David had a passion for cooking (especially BBQ), brewing homemade beer, and crafting homemade wine. David thoroughly enjoyed sharing his delicious BBQ, beer and wine with family and friends.
David had a heart of gold; to know him was to love him. Friends and strangers alike will tell you his laughter and smile would constantly fill the room, his generosity was unmatched, his friendships meant the world, and he would never let you down. We are truly grateful for the man who taught us to be more giving, honest and compassionate by the life he led with us. David will be forever missed and his light will continually glow in our hearts and in the hearts of many others.

David leaves behind loving wife Sue; cherished children Alan (Cristina) and Amanda Margaret; beloved siblings Dennis (Nancy) Goloweyco, Nancy Martin and Jackie Gonzales; many dear nieces and nephews; and dearest friends too many.

A Celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers and thoughts through this most difficult time.

My thoughts and prays go out to the family. I grew up with the Goloweyco kids and have cherished memories of the parties and fun times we had within the neighborhood.
