Laura May Sullivan, a former resident of Fraser, was received in the loving arms of Jesus and the angels in Heaven early Monday morning under the care of Hospice at Northpoint Village of Utica. Laura was 90 years of age.
Laura was born on November 23, 1931 in Detroit the daughter of the late, Walter and Helen (Perry) Hughes. Laura was united in marriage to her beloved husband Charles Sullivan on August 11, 1956 in Angola, Indiana . The couple made their home first in Warren before moving to Fraser in 1962, Roscommon in 1992 and then Sterling Hts. for 25 years. She was proud to serve as a secretary for the Fraser Schools from 1966 until retirement in 1991. Laura loved golfing, bowling, was an avid reader and a sports fan. She loved her Tigers and Red Wings and University of Kentucky Basketball Team. Laura always enjoyed supporting her grand children with their sports activities. She will be always remembered for her outgoing and talkative personality. Laura will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Laura is survived by her devoted children, Joann (Rick) Lauer, Barbara (Bill) Quinlan and Michael (Dana) Sullivan; and by her loving grandchildren Chase (Taylor), Ryan, Nick, Michael, Rob, and Olivia; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles, brother, Jack Hughes and sister Betty Paisley.
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd. Fraser, Sunday 2-4pm with a funeral service at 4pm. Private interment at Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her honor to the charity of the donor's choice is appreciated.
