Betty Jean Reno, of Warren, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on September 12, 2020. She was 83 years of age.

Betty was born on September 28, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Gene and Edith (McKissick) Pruett. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Arthur "Joe" Reno, on October 29, 1955 in Detroit. The couple first resided in Garden City until making their home in Warren in 1968. Their union was blessed with three children of whom she loved and cherished. Betty raised her children with christian values in a loving home. She always made sure the children never went without. Her grandchildren became the apple of her eye and the center of her world; and she just adored her great grandchildren. Betty was quite the doll collector who always enjoyed shopping. She always looked forward to her family camping trips and a nice warm day to go fishing. Betty was also a Detroit Tiger fan. Above all, she was a loving and caring woman who will always be known for her sweet smile. She will be greatly missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Betty is the loving and devoted wife of the late Joe; dearest mother of Debby Seckel, Lori (Don) Cooper, and Kevin (Jennifer) Reno; cherished grandmother to Holly, Stan, Krystal, Blake, Ashlyn, Ryan, Joshua and Ray; and dear great-grandmother of Logan, Mason and Amya.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Wednesday from 4pm until the time of funeral at 5pm. Share memories at

My dearest Betty,
I cannot express what it has meant to me to have you as my friend for 51 years. When I got married to Bill you and Joe were the second couple I met when I got married and moved to Detroit. Bill and Joe worked together and you invited us to dinner and thus began our friendship. We hit it off immediately and when Bill and I got divorce and I moved back to California we managed to keep our friendship alive by phone for all these years. We talked on phone three or four times a week sharing recipes, songs, laughs, and much more. I will miss you sweet Betty . Thank you for being my friend. Be happy with Joe and please give my beautiful granddaughter Angelina a hug for me
I love you. Love, Loree
