Margaret Grace Dusterhoft, former resident of Macomb, died peacefully December 18, 2020. She fought a courageous battle and has now won the crown of victory with her Lord and Savior. She was 92 years of age.
Grace was born on October 4, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Albert and Erna (Buchinger) Engelhardt. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Albert W. Dusterhoft, on October 11, 1947 at Bethel Lutheran Church of Detroit. Their union was blessed with three children of whom she loved and cherished. Grace provided a loving home with Christian values. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church of Fraser. Grace was very active in helping the Church where needed; becoming the Woman of the Year, because of her dedication and love for her church. Grace had a heart of gold and always had a warm smile and encouragement to give. She will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Grace is the loving wife of the late Albert; dearest mother of Joyce (Allan) Tarbell, Janet (Richard) Kouba and the late Robert Dusterhoft; cherished grandmother of Laura Ann (Michael) Turturici and Beth Marie (Scott) McGee; and dearest great grandmother Sara Elizabeth and Julia Elise.
Private Services were held and burial was held at Glen Eden of Livonia. Memorial contributions may be addressed to the St. John Lutheran Church of Fraser Branching Out Fund.
