Obituary

Elisa Rodriguez Osorio, resident of St. Clair Shores, died peacefully December 25, 2020. She was 90 years of age.

Elisa was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 9, 1930, daughter of the late Pedro and Maria (Salaices) Rodriguez. She was united in marriage to her beloved, Arturo Osorio, and they made their home in Detroit. The couple was blessed with nine wonderful children of whom they loved and cherished. Elisa made sure the children were raised in a loving home with Christian values. Her favorite room in the house was the sewing room where she was able to relax and unwind for the day. Besides being a dedicated wife and loving mother, Elisa was a professional seamstress and tailor most of her life. She always looked forward to the holidays where all the family would cook and come together to make memories. A faithful and devoted Catholic, she loved her Lord and family above all. Elisa treasured each and every moment shared in her grandchildren’s company. She also loved her many pets. She will always be known for her smile and the encouragement she would give along our way. Elisa will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Elisa is the loving wife of the late Arturo; cherished mother of Elizabeth (the late Eliseo) Luna, Arturo Osorio Jr., Areli (Damacio) Armenta, Reina (Jose) Salazar, Jesus (Grace) Osorio, Dora Osorio-Castro, and Peter, Richard and Sergio (Sharon) Osorio; dearest grandmother of twenty-three beautiful grandchildren and three adored great grandchildren; beloved sister of Olivia Martinez, Celia Romero and Elvira Garcia; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Wednesday from 2pm – 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Basilica of Sainte Anne de Detroit, 1000 Sainte Anne Street, Detroit, MI 48216 at 10am with additional visitation starting at 9:30am.
