John-Paul Franckowiak, longtime resident of Clinton Township, died peacefully January 17, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 56 years of age.

John-Paul, along with his twin brother James, was born in Harrison Township, Michigan on August 29, 1964; son of the late Raymond and Mary (Nagy) Franckowiak. He had a natural gift for cooking, which led him to a successful career in the culinary world. John-Paul worked for The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, ending his career as Executive Sous Chef after 33 years of dedicated services. He loved the great outdoors and always looked forward to his camping trips. John-Paul also enjoyed traveling with friends to Las Vegas. He was always considerate, kind and generous; and never met a stranger. John-Paul was always a straight shooter with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

John-Paul is the cherished brother of Raymond (Elizabeth), Joseph (Susan), David, James (twin) and the late Edward Franckowiak; dearest uncle and beloved friend to many.

John Paul was one of the nicest, caring, kind, loving and friendliest people,I knew. Every time, I saw him he always had a smile. Who enjoyed making people laugh with one of his funny stories. He loved great food and enjoyed cooking and you can't forget his love for sweets. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.. I know you will watch over your family with the other, Angel's. I will miss you 💞 R.i.p.
