Anna Ida Iannucci, longtime resident of Sterling Heights, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on January 22, 2021. She was 79 years of age.
Anna was born on July 28, 1941 in Casalattico, Italy, daughter of the late Francesco and Rosa (Fusco) Vella. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Alfredo Iannucci, on April 11, 1964 at St. Rita Catholic Church of Detroit. The couple lived in Detroit until making their home in Sterling Heights in 1972. The couple was blessed with three beautiful children of whom she loved and cherished. Anna dedicated her life to her family. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Soon the grandchildren and great grandchildren came; and they would become the apple of her eye. Anna absolutely loved spending time with them and treasured every moment. She enjoyed her daily lottery and her occasional trips to the casino. Anna especially enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She was very witty and always looked at life in a positive manner, "The glass half full." Anna had an answer for everything and will always be known for her smile that would always light up the room. She will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.
Anna is the beloved wife of 56 years to Alfredo; dearest mother of Antonio (Kimberly) Iannucci, Marisa (Mike) Torzy and Laura (James) Lutzky; cherished grandmother of Brittany (Patrick) Klayo, Alyssa (Daniel) Saier, Victoria Iannucci, Michael Iannucci, Blake and Ella Lutzky and the late Jacalyn Torzy; adored great grandmother of Gia and Elliana Klayo; dearest sister of Antonia (the late Raffaelle) Annoni, Rosa (Renato) DiGennaro and the late Norm (Benedetta) Vella and the late Rinaldo Vella; dear sister-in-law of Laura "Penny" Vella; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
