Andy was born on July 21, 1931 in Detroit to Andrew Casmer and Natalie Mary (nee Bolde) Mushynski. After high school, Andy spent time working for his father’s company as well as a race car driver before enlisting in the United States Army. He served his country honorably from 1952 until 1954. Andy met and married the love of his life, Beverly Jean Pallister on April 7, 1956 in Detroit. They were blessed with three wonderful sons of whom he loved and cherished. Together, they shared a wonderful 64 years of marriage. Andy worked at and owned the family business, B & M Sheet Metal. He kept busy in “retirement” by driving a truck for Automotive Color as well as tending bar for at least two nights a week. Andy truly enjoyed being around people and talking with them. He was also a devoted Indianapolis 500 fan, enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards and baseball, racing boats and always enjoyed time spent with family. Andy was very active with his sons as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader when they were growing up. He was a proud Army veteran who was an active member of the VFW Bruce Post and well as AMVETS. He was a truly courageous man who would let nothing stop him, even into the final days of his life. His smile and kindness will truly be missed by all who knew him, but memories of him will continue on in all who loved him.
Andy is survived by his loving wife Beverly; cherished sons Todd Marsh and Cary (Kerrie Block) Marsh; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved son Craig Marsh. A service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be addressed to Wounded Warriors or Disabled American Veterans. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home of Fraser.
