Obituary

Virginia Eileen (Brown) Wagner, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully at her daughters home surrounded by the love of her children on February 16, 2021. She was 88 years of age.

Virginia was born on July 31, 1932 and raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She was one of thirteen children of the late Edward and Ann Leona (Callaghan) Brown. Virginia was blessed with three wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished. She always provided a loving home and always put her children first. Virginia retired from the City of Fraser after working over 20 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed family gatherings outside in the summer. Virginia adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment shared in their company. She will always be known for her sweet smile and gentle ways and her love of animals. Virginia will be profoundly missed, and her light and spirit will continue to warm our hearts forever.

Virginia is the beloved mother of Michael (Ruth) Wagner, Ken (Ann) Wagner and Stacey (Chico) Arscott; cherished grandmother of Dylan, Zachary, Jessica, Terry, Naarai, Adrianna, Alvin, Kyle (Melia), Heather (CJ) and Kody; great grandmother of Christian, Jordin, Julian, Alaina, Damion, Bella Rose, Bella Marie, Crossill and Donnie. Virginia joins her siblings in restful peace; Doug, Jerry, Dennis, Jackie, Maxine, Pat, Gloria, Betty, Dixie, Mary, Nancy and is survived by her youngest sibling/sister Kathy Callaghan.

My condolences to Aunt Ginny’s family. My grandma was Pat Holmquist and I got to know Aunt Ginny well during visits. She was always my favorite of my Grandmas brothers and sisters. She was just so lively and funny and loved to laugh. I will always have the fondest memories of her, my grandma, my brother and I singing “Puff the Magic Dragon” for the entire car ride from Detroit, MI. to Louisville,Ky. RIP Aunt Ginny, you will be fondly remembered.
