Obituary for Kayla Allice Swinyer

Kayla Allice Swinyer, resident of Roseville, passed away on March 6, 2021. She was 24 years of age.

Kayla began her wonderful 24 years on July 7, 1996 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, dear daughter of Kenneth Swinyer and Karen (McCanney) Kaczorowski. She always had ambitions to travel around the world and to new places, and she did so shortly after graduating from Fraser High School in 2014 when she joined the U.S. Airforce; and served honorably for two years. Kayla had a heart of gold and began driving disabled adults for the Creative Employment Opportunity. Her love for reading began when she fell in love with Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, and from then on always had a book in her hand.In between books, Kayla also enjoyed watching her shows (Friends, Reba and Marvel), hitting baseballs with her family, and playing Euchre. There was never a dull moment with Kayla, she was quite the “Goofball.” Kayla was full of life and lived life with love and compassion.

She will be deeply missed and her light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Kayla is the beloved daughter of Kenneth Swinyer and Karen (Norb) Kaczorowski; cherished older sister of Kelsey, Kassidy and Kenn; a dear niece and a caring cousin to many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her first tattoo was an infinity sign, with “Family” in the center, she loved everyone.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2pm – 8pm at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11am at St. Malachy Catholic Church of Sterling Heights with additional visitation starting at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Share memories at
