Obituary
Denise was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Floyd and Gertrude (Dahlke) Wichtman. She was blessed with four children of whom she loved and cherished. Denise provided her family a loving home with Christian values. She dedicate her life to her children, they always came first; and was known to tell them “A mother is only as happy as her saddest child.” Her door was always open and was like a second mom to many of the kids in the neighborhood. Denise had a fun sense of humor, like no other, that was handed down to her children. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed her occasional trips to the casino. Her greatest joy was being with the grandchildren, treasuring every moment in their company. Denise had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She always put everyone before herself and was willing to do anything for anybody.
Although we grieve her passing, we know that Denise has left us for a better life free from all pain and care. We are all eternally thankful for our Denise who taught us to be more loving and genuine people by the life she led. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those that she has left behind.
Denise is the loving wife of Gary; dearest mother of Christopher (Tammie), Karl. Richard (Debra), and Jennifer Behring; cherished grandmother of Amanda (Derek), Ryan, Andrew, Nicholas, Lilyanne, Jordyn, Kourtney, Addison, Delaney, Christian and Logan; adored great-grandmother of Emma, Brady, Ayva and Chase; dear sister of Floyd (Linda) Wickman and the late Diane (Frank) Morello, Jackie (George) Kasper and Kenneth Wichtman; Loved Sister-in-law of Barbara Shelton, Jim and Deanna Behring, Tom and Theresa Gordon; and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Friday from 4pm until the time of funeral at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Share memories at Faulmannwalsh.com
