Obituary

Edward Charles Smith, longtime resident of Mt. Clemens, died peacefully March 30, 2021. He fought a coureagous battle and now has won victory with his Lord and Savior. He was 63 years of age.

Ed was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on June 26, 1957. At an early age, he started working for his dad at the Smiths Coins and he followed in his foot steps. Thank God because Ed loved treasures and history. He operated the Smiths Coins and Coin Cove of Roseville. He collected war relics, guns, coins, and paper money. Ed loved muscle cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed watching good ol' westerns. Ed was larger than life. To know him was to love Ed. He was the best Santa Clause for Christmas and his laughter filled the room. Ed went out of his way to make people smile and laugh. He was a great man who will be deeply missed.

Ed is the dear father of Stephanie and Michelle (Tony); grandfather of Dylan, Austin, Jordan, Christian, Hayden, Miranda, Tyler and Bryce; great grandfather of Nyomi, Caroline, Cindy and Jaxon; cherished son of Joanna (James) Dusseau and the late Charles; beloved brother of Elizabeth and Virginia Smith; loving uncle of Edward, Kaitlin(Nick), Krysta, Cassidy, Stephen, David (Stacey) and Melissa (Robbie); and adored great uncle to many great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Ed's Life will be celebrated at a late date due to covic. Share memories with family at faulmannwalsh.com
