Jason William Mousseau, resident of Chicago, Illionois, died unexpectedly April 6, 2021. He was 45 years of age.

Jason was born in Southfield, Michigan on March 14, 1976, son of Willard and Elizabeth Sandra (Abraham) Mousseau. Jason always loved to cook, which led him to being an established Chef and his culinary skills were extraordinary. His biggest achievement in life was having his two beautiful children, he adored and loved. Jason understood the value of friendship. He loved being out with friends and experiencing other restaurant vibes, drinks, and food. Jason was larger than life and had a smile that would light up a room. He will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever.

Jason is the cherished father of Julian and Lorelei; dearest son of Willard and Sandy; beloved brother of Angela (David) Wenz and Laura (Yoann) Giorsetti; dear uncle of Jacob, Daniel, Alexa and Kate; and loving friend of many.

A memorial service will be on May 22, 2021 at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser from 10am until the time of service at 2pm. Share memories at

I will always remember Jay for his smile, his laid back demeanor, his amazing culinary skills and, most importantly, the loving father that he was to Lola and Jude. I know that his memory and spirit will live on in these two little ones. I always got a kick out of his obsession with the Black Crowes and loved hearing his stories of following the band. I am grateful that we were able to travel to Hawaii with him and Stef and that, because of him, we were all able experience just a little slice of the culture that he immersed himself in during his time there. One of my most fond memories of Jay is seeing him with Lola for the first time. Another is when he told us that Jude was on the way. Such a proud poppa. My heart is with his friends and family as life and his legacy carries on
