Cheryl Lynn Sesnie, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family in her home on April 20, 2021. She was 69 years of age.
Cheryl was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 9, 1951, daughter of the late Francis and Elva Lorraine (Behrendt) Moore. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, James Steven Sesnie, on May 28, 1972 at St. John Lutheran Church of Fraser. The couple lived in St. Clair Shores until making their home in Fraser in 1979. They were blessed with three wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished; and then came along the grandchildren which were the apple of her eye. Cheryl was an avid reader who enjoyed the warm summer months tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed doing ceramics and spending time at thier cabin in Hale, Michigan. Her greatest moments were with her family and she treasured every moment. Cheryl had a golden heart and was the epitome of selflessness. She was a very sweet, caring and loving woman. Cheryl will always be known for her outgoing and wonderful personality. The love and compassion she extended to others was a blessing to all. She will be greatly missed and her light will continue to live in our hearts forever.
Cheryl is the devoted wife of 49 years to James; dearest mother of Nicole (Joseph) Lewis, Jacob (Givanna Maisano) Sesnie and Megan (Cary) Finn; cherished grandmother of James, Logan, Regan, Liam and Rowan; and loving sister of Renee Sesnie and Lowell Moore.
